Hi Friends
They are not showing YMLH this week - media reports claim the serial is going to end soon, but there are no confirmed reports on this as yet. I've been writing the updates for almost a year and a half and I believe lot of you guys came to the site regularly and enjoyed the updates. We all watch YMLH and then come here to discuss about it. Over a period of time, we all became friends and enjoyed the comments written by all. I enjoyed them very much. And I appreciate the wonderful support you guys have given me. Thanks a lot. I mean it.

Thanks. I'll have write up something soon. All the readers should contribute something- it will be nice to read everyone's opinions and thoughts on the show.

Let me be the second after Sonya..
I though this was an awsome show with good mixture of humore, drama and emotional value. I thought the show went offtrack for some time but came back very nicely. The ending was very abrupt and I bet that is mainly due to Sony wanting to end this show asap.
I just don't understand how Sony people think, but they are still going on and on with that ultra stupid farce called 'Kkusum'. What's the logic here? We really need a site to bass such substandard shows and bring it up to the Media's attention. Rememebr when The times of India ran a blog on how stupid and unreal 'Kkusum' and other shows from Ekta Kapoor are, and there were tons and tons of message from the readers? And guess what, almost 99% messages on that blog were bassing Ekta Kapoor for feeding our audience with such trash. And the result? Kkusum was immediately pulled off the Prime Time by Sony.. I wish more and more media give public an oppertunity to express their true fillings..
Can you set up such site Nirav, that will help us keep the good show like 'YMLH' score over trash like Ekta Kappor's.. :))

hi i am not a member of this site but i do read it everyday. i was awfully sad when i knew that ymlh was ending. they left soem questions like questions?

i wouls love to be a part of this site but i just don't have time. maybe in the near future when ymlh comes back. Sonya u r right. they should remove KKsum and put ymlh there.

Its sad that YMLH has ended.When it started it was the only serial based on a college drama with totally new actors.Also all the actors looked like college kids and played their part really well which made it fun to watch.Shama sikander stood out among all the women on other shows because of her simplicity.There was no heavy duty drama in the beginning which made it a perfect serial to watch after a tiring day.Alas, it fell victim to the trp getting saas-bahu formulas.The situations between pooja+ronit were the high point of the serial its a love story which everyone has either experienced or want to experience some time during their college life.I loved it while it lasted and hats off to all the actors for making the serial a treat to watch.Your site and updates were wonderful.What made your site so good was that you never tried to impose your opinion on the readers.I hope amit jain comes in a different serial soon cause i am going to miss his naughty smile....Good luck nir with your future plans.You truly put ghatkopar on a world map,afterall how many ppl would have bothered to go on ghatkopars website had it not been for your updates??as a fellow ghatkoparite i would like to give you a round of applause.....too bad you can't hear it..he..he..hee
i have been regularly watching YMLH from the beginning.But from the last two months i am unable to watch them as i am staying out of the country.This site helped me catch up with the latest updates
Indeed from a couple of weeks the plot has become very interesting after dragging on for a long time

Have enjoyed the show thoroughly.. and even tho I never missed a single episode, I ended up missing the last one !!!.. my timer didn't work !!!.. oh well.. there are always Nirav's updates :)
I thot the show started well, dragged a bit in the middle.. as all soaps do, but ended on a high note ( not as all soaps do :), so if that was the end.. well great.. but if it is to continue.. maybe this time around, they will actually focus on the theme they talked about at the outset which was Pooja's dream to be a director and show her trials and tribulations of getting there.. I would love to see that side of her life, where she has her family support, balances her life and her career and gets there ..

All I wanna say right now is that I HOPE YMLH TAKE KKUSUM'S SLOT and ACTUALLY SHOWS POOJA'S DREAMS...THEY DIDNT REALLY SHOWED MUCH OF POOJA'S DREAMS INSTEAD THEY FOCUSED ON THE FAMILY DRAMA CRAP AND RONA-DHONA THE MOST!!
HOPE THEY SHOW EXTRA GOOD EPISODES IN THE FUTURE WITH POOJA-RONIT AND HER DREAMS.
IF THEY DECIDE TO END THE SHOW WHERE THEY ACTUALLY ENDED IT ON THE ROAD...then I'm really sorry to say this but...KKUSUM ACTUALLY HAD A BETTER ENDING!! Atleast Balaji showd a message under the screen "AND THE LIVED HAPILY EVER AFTER........" which tells u the show is over...YMLH didnt even showed that!
I really hope they continue on with the show ASAP and not end it until EVERYSINGLE LITTLE PORBLEMS GET SOLVED...........INCLUDING REEMA+AKASH'S MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THE ABORTION!

Thanks a lot for your updates throughout the show. Its been about 10 months since I started reading your updates, as I could not watch the show after coming to US. You have done a great job!
It is sad that the serial has ended. I wish they had not made silly changes in the original story lines, and finished it so abruptly. Hopefully we'll get to see 3-4 happy wedding episodes.
I also want to applaud Taffy and group for their humorous takes on the serial and its characters.
Though things got nasty in between with Ronit vs. Ashmit groups, but all's well that ends well.

I started watching this show from the start. I am going to be honest in saying it will not go down in Indian tv history as anything too memorable. I was never into the saas-bahu serials, so the serial started out cute, funny, youthful. Pooja, Ronit, Reema (even if she cried all the time), Pooja, Mandy...we loved them all. Jayshribua was my favorite, she added such humorous evil to the serial.
Then it all went downhill. First of all, I think the serial took a wrong turn when they rushed the Pooja-Ronit romance. Then we saw more and more "Sony creativity"...I actually thought the Ronit-Poornima marriage twist was interesting, but after that, the show just became depressing and more depressing. Jayshribua disappeared, as well as a number of other cast members. St. Martin's disappeared (I guess they all dropped out?) and they spent their time crying and crying, with no life hai. Then it officially took the saas-bahu path. (but I loved Maya and her craftiness throughout...I guess I just love vamps!)
I was not crazy about Ronit, but I was completely turned off by Ashmit from the start (...and his acne. yuk!!!) As we got deeper into the serial, the characters continued to have no life. They plotted against each other. Maya's stupid relatives, the irritating dadi, Ashmit's business partners and a host of other awful characters joined the cast.
I stopped watching sometime in July, when the serial drifted from saas-bahu to a thriller (IF I had to categorize it). The Poornima was pathetic. I began reading only the updates here, so thanks to you Nir and others, for the updates. I still wanted to quickly see where the show was headed. Before I stopped watching, I was kind of intrigued by the Koena-Kunal love triangle. Too bad it got ripped up in the pathetic 'thriller' plot.
I am sorry I missed the last episode. I actually wanted to start tuning in as the show came near an end, but never found the time. From what it sounds like, the whole thing was hanging in the air.

well since Ymlh is over and its upsetting that they won't show the ending. Can somebody start updating something else. A show that is somewhat like that one. Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai is similar. Eventhough its and Ekta Kapoor branded show. Its just a thought. I mean eventhough Ekta kapoor has the same old twist and turns. Well someone think about this idea.

hey, i totally agree with you ruby. homework is such a pain. i get so much that i don't even have time to watch tv anymore! i have never slept before 12am this year. but i NEVER use to miss ye meri life hai. it was the only show that i use to watch and somtimes sinndoor. i like that alot also.but since ymlh finished, there is notin to do. it was a show that i really liked. i had'nt seen it from the beggining, but my friend taked about it so when it came on, i started to watch and ifound it quite interesting. i started to get so atached that wehnever i got home, i didn't even put my back away adn would go adn on hte television! my most favourite couple was ashmit and pooja. htey looked so cute togeather. but stupid gursheel had to make his character negitve! gosh, why do producers have such stupid brains?! they ALWAYS make the best one bad. my favouite scene was the one where they both danced in the rain,but that was with the other temporaery adhmit( gosh i hate him!)he sucked. i would love it if that scene was done with rahil! that would be awsome!!!!!!!
What can I say about YMLH... It was basically a part of life. Yes, it's true that I was unhappy over Ronit and Pooja's seperation and the the abrupt changes that came in the show, but I still loved the show. There aren't any other shows like Ye Meri Life Hai. Although I would have loved it if it was all about the college days, but we can't always get what we want, and atleast Ronit and Pooja reunited in the end. Mii favorite character was definately Ronit and favorite jodi was and is Pooja and Ronit... and yes, i hated and still hate Ashmit. lol. I personally think that all the characters were portrayed better in teh begining of the serial, and later on, they either disappeared or changed completely. As for the ending, it came way to soon. I mean Pooja didn't even become a film director when thats what the show was about. How much sense does that make? ya, none. THat was really sad... but anyways... Overall, YMLH was a really good show even though there were points in the show that i disliked.

I started 2 watch this show since August or September, I didn know that it started in May. I really did enjoyed it. YMLH has changed me in several ways (I'll email u da details later) or maybe post later.
I didn lyk da part wer Ashmit became negative again and how fast he had changed. I really did enjoyed watching this show. I'd say every character did a wonderful job in playing his and her role. I really enjoyed watching them all. I lyk how Kushan alwayz went 2 the places Pooja went 2 before she even got there...thatz sorta maybe totally psychic but itz totally kool...kinda creepy though.
I will email u r post the whole detail later cuz I gotta do a lot of math homework, reharse 4 the group presentation, study 4 3exams, etc...college work + house chores...so I'm lyk booked 4 2weeks...sorry nir 4 short notice..I will email u wen I get a chance...once I'm free from homework and exams.

about YMLH.. i mailed NIR and did tell him about my feelings and experiances regarding this very Drama! like others, even i was quite depressed that it was ending, but then thats life, u move on, nothing stays forever, aise koi cheez nahee jiska ant nahee!
I loved being here! NIR site has given me a lot! great friends, all the mastiyaas i shared here, all the humour and rumors! lol
i loved every bit of being here- THANK YOU NIR- for everything, i said it a million times already lol! phir bhi kam nahee!
also i wanna say sorry to all of u! main yonhee choorke chalee gayee! iam really sorry about that, there were times that i was here more than once- daily! lekin phir kya howa..i got busy in my own life, plus i went to another shehar! i haven't been active since the holidays or something..i did come buh it was on and off...i had been travelling a lot..lol

Ye meri Life hai has influenced me a lot.
I enjoyed the whole drama. I made a website 4 it, jus gotta work on it. I really enjoyed da roles of every single character thru out da whole show. My most favorite was Kushan. Hez really smart. I waz amazed at da fact that he followed Pooja every where she went. How he knew where she went be4 she even got there really shocked me. I mean I think there is no1 out there who thinks like Kushan. Ashmit n Kushan r pretty unique. They r very ingenious.
Kushan was so amazing. I really enjoyed watchin him + he waz my favorite character throughout da whole show. I luved da new kushan looks doh. 4 vengeance, hez pretty good. It was so astonishing how he knew wherever Pooja went be4 she got there. His plans r really ingenious.
Annie - well, a good antagonist. Her n Kushan did a great job working 2gether as a team 2 get revenge from Pooja. Overall her plans wer really good n so waz her acting. Acting part refering 2 wer she had 2 deliver a speech 4 Pooja n she pretended dat she was ill.
Ronit - he's the sweetest brother any sis cud have. I'd say hez a great role model.
Pooja whoz da perfect daughter and friend. I liked her character a lot because I learned a lot from her. She's a hard worker. I felt everytime Poornima was harsh on her. I mean she was jus keep gettin blamed 4 sumthin she didn even do. Shez also da greatest role model.
Mandy - da sweetest n funniest friend. Shez some1 who knows how 2 cheer up people, I guess. She made me laugh.
Reema - da sweetest n innocent 1 of all. I didn lyk da part wer she took da pill from Annie. She didn know, so it's sorta like not really her fault. Didn lyk da part wer her mom waz alwayz so harsh on her and wer she was suffering a lot of loneliness in da beginning. It must've been really critical 4 her 2 go thru that, on da brite side, Pooja was alwayz der 4 her.
Akash - He shudn had hurted Reema's feelings though. Throughout da whole show, hez really sweet.
Ashmit - da ingenious 1 of all. He is a great achiever, he has succeeded in all of his plans. I liked how no1 knew about his plans and how he always achieved them.
Koyna - shez so sweet. I liked her character a lot. She did a great job throughout da whole show.
Simone - great performance. I liked how she realized that Koyna n Kunal luved 1another n made her parents realized dat money isn't everything. Very sweet of her 2 realize dat.
Kunal - sweetest friend any1 can have. Felt sorry 4 him dying @ da end. Itz really unfair 4 him 2 go thru dat.
Overall throughout da whole show, every1 did an excellent job. The acting was termendous. Ronit n Pooja r great role models.
I'd really wish that I'd be able 2 get the videos on the website. I'm canna work on the website in couple of days. I'd try my best 2 finish the website soon. I'll let u know when I do finish the website. I just gotta finish making the homepages of 4 of my groups.
I really loved this show the most. I also appreciated Nirav's updates and comments. Thank u once again Nirav 4 the updates n comments. There were times where I didn get a chance 2 watch da show so I read da update here.
